How it works
Anki keeps the schedule. ReviewBar keeps it within reach.
ReviewBar drives Anki's own reviewer through the AnkiConnect add-on, on your machine. Every answer is recorded exactly as if you had done it in Anki.

See what's due
Open Anki as usual. ReviewBar reads the due count for the decks you chose and shows it in the menu bar.

Click the notch
A panel grows out of the notch with your next card, rendered with your note type's own CSS, images and audio. Space reveals the answer.

Rate and move on
Press 1 to 4. Interval previews come from Anki's scheduler. After a small batch, ReviewBar offers to stop, and Escape puts it away.

Your note-type CSS and scripts, images and audio, in the same DOM Anki's reviewer uses. Themes behave the way they do in Anki.

After a batch of cards, ReviewBar offers to stop rather than marching you through everything. Continue if you're on a roll.

Quiet reminders
Haven't reviewed in a while and something is waiting? The notch peeks. A notification only when the notch can't be seen.

Keyboard first
Space to reveal, 1 to 4 to rate, Escape to dismiss. Rating buttons carry the interval preview Anki would show.

Pick the decks that belong in your day. The due count, the reminders and the review all follow the same choice.

First launch: "Apple cannot check it for malicious software"
ReviewBar isn't notarized, which needs a paid Apple developer membership. Dismiss the warning, open System Settings → Privacy & Security, and click Open Anyway next to ReviewBar. One-time step. The install script skips this.
